Eduardo Mateo Bonmatí

Eduardo Mateo Bonmatí is a Ramón y Cajal Fellow and a Project Leader at the Centre of Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (CBGP) and Polytechnic University of Madrid. In 2018, he obtained the PhD in Plant Molecular Biology at Miguel Hernández University. After the PhD, he joined the group of Prof Karin Ljung at Umeå Plant Science Centre in Sweden as Postdoctoral Researcher, where he studied new pathways in auxin metabolism. In 2020, he moved to the UK to join the group of Prof Dame Caroline Dean at John Innes Centre, working to understand how long non-coding RNAs and chromatin connect in gene silencing. His current research aims to understand how transcription and chromatin influence each other.
