Lisa Görs

Lisa is a researcher and scientist whose work combines molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, and synthetic biology.

She completed her undergraduate studies in Natural Sciences at the University of Cambridge and earned her PhD in Synthetic Biology and Molecular Biology from Imperial College London, before working as a postdoctoral researcher at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Her research involved techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing, molecular cloning, infection assays, and bacterial strain engineering.

She subsequently worked as a Lead Scientist at The Cultivated B, a biotechnology company specializing in scalable and sustainable protein production for food, pharma and cosmetic care.

More recently, Dr. Görs has been associated with the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) in Heidelberg, where she is listed as a member of the Epigenetics team.

We are sure Lisa is gonna show an interesting perspective on education at ivy league schools and the difference of working in academia compared to industry!
